- Where do I get tickets?
- There are many different ways to get a ticket to Flemington for the Melbourne Cup Carnival. Check the ticket information to find out what suits you best.
- When do the trains operate to and from Flemington Racecourse?
- Fast, frequent trains will run to and from Flemington Racecourse. Special race trains will depart Flinders Street (Platforms 8 & 9), stopping at Southern Cross station (Platform 14) and North Melbourne (Platform 6), then express to Flemington. No alcohol is to be taken on the train. Patrons bags will be checked upon entry to the course and any alcohol will be confiscated. Make sure you have a valid Metcard for your journey. - What you can bring into Flemington depends on which areas your ticket allows you entry to. Please read our Terms and Conditions carefully.
- Why do I need a wristband?
- Proof of Age wristbands will be required for all people purchasing alcohol. Wristbanding marquees will be located at turnstile and bar entry points. Proof of Age ID must be presented. Patrons must be 18 years of age or older to purchase alcohol. Alcohol must not be purchased on behalf of underage patrons.
- What should I wear?

- Can I leave the racecourse and come back in?
- Yes you can, but make sure you get a Pass Out at the turnstile.
